In Executive Order (EO) 60, Mayor Evelio Leonardia said the city will be under Alert Level 2 from December 16 to 31 after he earlier announced that it has been placed by the Department of Health-Western Visayas (DOH-6) under Alert Level 1 on December 13. "Further extension of Alert Level 2 for the City of Bacolod signifies that its fight against Covid-19 is strongly holding up against a surge in cases over the past weeks as the city has succeeded in reaching, as of this time, a 91.58 percent (vaccination) rate of its target population," he added. Leonardia said in consideration of customs and traditions of the Christmas holidays, he has ordered that curfew hours or the non-social period be modified from 11 p.m. to 3 p.m.
