Tom DeVille Receives Prestigious Pharmacist Award

Established in 1958, the Bowl of Hygeia Award recognizes pharmacists who possess outstanding records of civic leadership in their communities and encourages pharmacists to take active roles in their communities. The award is presented annually by participating state pharmacy associations, including those in the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. In addition to service through their local, state, and national pharmacy associations, award recipients devote their time, talent, and resources to a wide variety of causes and community service.

One of the casualties was the Chamber Annual Dinner however, we still felt it important to honor those individuals and businesses who went above and beyond in 2020. After reviewing multiple nominees for each award, the board of directors for the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 2020 Dearborn County Small & Large Businesses of the Year, the 2020 Chamber Chairperson’s Awardee and the DC Young Professionals Business of the Year.

Sunman Woman Injured In Rollover Accident

Eagle Country 99.3 By Travis Thayer Shutterstock photo. (Franklin County, Ind.) – A Sunman woman was injured in a rollover accident over the weekend. Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the crash on St. Mary’s Road on Saturday around 12:39 p.m. Deputies say Tracey L. Ratliff, 53, of Sunman, was westbound on St. Mary’s Road when she met an oncoming utility truck, veered right and crashed into a cement culvert. Ratliff’s vehicle continued off the south side of the roadway and overturned into a creek. She was transported by Brookville EMS #2 to Margaret Mary Health in Batesville. The extent of Ratliff’s injuries were not released.
