(File photo) MANILA - The number of deaths confirmed during the onslaught of Typhoon Odette has climbed to 81, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Tuesday. In its latest report, the agency also said the number of confirmed injuries and missing persons due to the typhoon are at 188 and six, respectively. Still undergoing validation are reports of 324 dead along with 1,073 injured and 65 missing. Most of the confirmed deaths are from Western Visayas at 46; Eastern Visayas - 16; Mimaropa, 12; Northern Mindanao, four; Central Visayas, two and the Zamboanga Peninsula, one. Meanwhile, "Odette"-affected barangays were placed at 5,904 and these communities in Mimaropa, Bicol, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, the Davao Region, Soccsksargen, Caraga and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
