'The Moors' A governess arrives at her new post, but there is no child — or master of the house — in sight. There are only two sisters, dreaming impossible dreams as they live out their lives in the bleak English hills, and the governess’ arrival marks the start of a journey down a dangerous path for all three. This is playwright Jen Silverman’s The Moors, a gothic comedy inspired by the novels of the Brontë sisters, such as Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre and Agnes Grey. The Middlebury College Department of Theatre presents three performances of this dark, women-centered story; a lively talkback follows the Friday show.
