The Bihar government has approved a scheme to provide financial assistance of ₹2 lakh each to over 9.4 million poor families to create self-employment opportunities. The scheme aims to provide job opportunities to families with a monthly income of less than ₹6,000. The state industries department will implement the scheme, and beneficiaries will be selected through a computerised randomisation process.
