WV Legislature s crossover day: What bills passed so far? | Legislative Session

Feb. 28, 2024 86th West Virginia Legislature s 50th day is crossover day, the last day to consider bills on third reading in their house of origin. Feb. 25, 2024 was the last day for bills to be considered in committees. Lawmakers will continue work until the session’s end, when the clock strikes midnight on March 9, 2024. The 86th Legislative session has seen more than 2,500 pieces of potential legislation introduced, with a small handful having already completed the legislative process. Of the 31 bills that have passed both the West Virginia House of Delegates and Senate so far, a dozen have already been signed into law by Gov. Jim Justice.
