welcome, to the brand new hour of america s newsroom. i m martha maccallum mack. bill: i m bill hemmer. they agreed not to take money from foreign governments while clinton was secretary of state. wall street journal says money flowed from individuals with connections to their own government including members of the saudi royal family. foreign donors gave ,etween 34 and $6868 million to the foundation after 2009. martha: this is turning into a big story. tucker carlson, editor of the daily caller, co-host of fox & friends weekend. good to see you. good morning, martha. martha: when you take a look at this. as the head of the department of state, secretary of state, she stopped taking money from foreign countries during 2009 to 2013. right. martha: money flowed in from people closely connected to those government right? a lot of money. 10 of millions of dollars. in some respects it is distinction without a difference.
that s right. it takes custody from there. orr, as it s known, has a division of children s services. and the orr budget for unaccompanied alien children last year was $868 million. it s got to be blown out this year. substantial. meanwhile, what are the children entitled to? they re entitled to what any children are entitled to really in the united states. shelter care, legal assistance, family reunification, and kids that remain in orr get government-funded education, mental and medical health services to make sure that they re okay. who is going to pay for the school? you are. we are. the taxpayers. the american taxpayer is going to pay with an increased taxes? the budget may double this year. when will the children be released? that s an interesting question. the child remains in a shelter or with a foster parent until a real sponsor is identified. between 2008 and 10, the length of stay in these orr care averaged 61 days, went up to 700
immigration laws and foreign policy so we can address this. otherwise we re playing defense on the one yard line called the u.s./mexico border. congressman, this partly seems to be a resources question and you re of course part of the appropriations committee and that will be reviewing this request for $1.5 billion in additional funds. the budget for unaccompanied immigrants was just $35 million back in 2003. it s changed a lot. this year it was 868 million. how did the government manage to so misjudge the resources it takes to adequately respond to this phenomenon? not only they misjudge when they said it was 800 million, recently they asked for $1.3 million. they were off. in fact, tomorrow we ll do the homeland appropriation and that will address part of it. when we get to the health and human services, which is the one that has the office of refugee
