DA charges Oakland man with murder in killing of father of two kids

The Alameda County district attorney filed murder charges Friday against an Oakland man in the fatal shooting of a father who was picking up his two young children from youth football practice at an Oakland park.
Daniel Stith, 36, of Oakland, faces one count of murder in the killing of Reuben Lewis III at Concordia Park on 64th Avenue in Oakland on Wednesday afternoon, according to charging documents provided to The Chronicle.
Stith was seen on video surveillance leaving the park after the shooting, and he turned himself in to San Leandro police at around 9:30 p.m., just hours later, according to records and police.
