5paisa Capital Q4 consolidated income up 41 pc at Rs 50 crore ANI | Updated: Apr 21, 2021 17:38 IST Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Apr 21 (ANI): 5paisa Capital s total consolidated income stood at Rs 49.9 crore for the January to March quarter, up 41 per cent year-on-year from Rs 35.4 crore from Q4 FY20. The online platform clocked total consolidated income of Rs 194.6 crore for the entire financial year 2020-21, up 80 per cent from Rs 108.2 crore in FY20. Its total comprehensive income stood at Rs 6.2 crore in Q4 FY21, up 452 per cent from a loss of Rs 1.76 crore in the same period of previous fiscal. For FY21, it reported 282 per cent jump in total comprehensive income of Rs 14.7 crore from a loss of Rs 8 crore.

The online platform said the sale will be to a set of marquee investors and promoters besides the promoter group. The preferential issue is subject to shareholder and other necessary approvals. The business has been witnessing rapid growth with total income of over Rs 140 crore for nine months of FY21, up 98 per cent year-on-year.

MUMBAI: 5paisa Capital, a discount broker, said on Tuesday it will raise Rs 250 crore by allotting shares and warrants on a preferential basis to institutional shareholders and promoters. The proposed investors for preferential allotment include Prem Watsa s Fairfax, one of the co-promoters of the brokerage, Hong Kong-based Ward Ferry, and Rimco. Promoters Nirmal Jain, Madhu Jain and R Venkataraman are subscribing to the warrants. The shares and warrants will be sold at Rs 500 per share, about 70% premium to Tuesday’s closing price of Rs 291.40. 5paisa Capital is one of the fastest growing discount broking companies in India with more than 1.3 million customers and 6.5 million mobile app users.
