The Viewmont Vykelles had never won a drill team state championship until 2022. Now, the program is turning into a 5A dynasty. Viewmont won a third straight 5A state championship on Friday night at UVU, winning two of three categories in the 2024 drill team finale.
The state title drought is finally over for Hillcrest High's drill team. The Marchioness narrowly edged runner-up Snow Canyon at UVU on Thursday afternoon to capture the 4A state championship, the school's first since 2016 and the eighth in school history. Snow Canyon finished first in Show, was runner-up in Dance and finished fourth in Military.
