live from america s news headquarters i m marianne rafferty. texas representative ron paul winning a straw poll of social conservatives that was taken at the values voters summit in washington saturday. paul taking home 37% of the vote. herman cain coming in second with 23% and former pennsylvania senator rick santorum rounded out the top three with 16%. texas governor rick perry and representative michele bachmann each got 8%. and president obama urging voters to pressure congress to pass his $447 billion jobs bill. in his weekly address the president saying the bill will give the economy the jolt it needs. he is also challenging any lawmaker who would vote against it. in the republican response, south dakota senator called the president s plan more of the same failed strategy. the senate will likely vote on the jobs bill next week. and several thousand protesters marching peacefully from wall street to new york city s washington square park
