727 families affected by Henry : NDRRMC

MANILA - A total of 727 families or 2,442 persons have been affected by Typhoon Henry, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported on Wednesday. In its latest situation report, the agency said these families are residing in 56 barangays (villages) in the Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, and Cordillera regions. Only one evacuation center remains active, sheltering five families or about 16 persons. The rest have returned home or are staying with relatives and friends. Still undergoing validation are reports of one death in the Ilocos region. There are no injuries or missing persons. The weather disturbance caused PHP61.37 million in infrastructure damage in the Cordillera. Twelve houses were also partially damaged in the region. (PNA) }
