iran has broken the rules of the nuclear deal and passed how much uranium fuel they re allowed to have. president trump pulled the u.s. out of the nuclear deal, but other countries have been trying to salvage it to prevent iran from developing nuclear weapons. let s get to trey yingst in the mideast newsroom. trey? trace, the iranians have made good on their threat to stockpile uranium. the country confirmed that they broke the terms of the 2015 agreement for the first time. he added that iran will enrich uranium pasted the 3.76% threshold laid out in the agreement. now with no sign of talks in the near future, the world is faced with a difficult question about how to respond to the iranians

could be pinched and that will force prices yep, right up. tropical storm isaac is being blamed for driving up gas prices here in the u.s. while it was still in the caribbean. across the country, gas prices jumped over the weekend to average of $3.76 a gallon for drivers in knoxville, tennessee, the threat of isaac is suspected prices up 10 cents since last week. people in haiti are struggling to clean up from isaac s deadly toll. the storm killed at least eight people including two children. more than 14,000 haitians have left their homes. thousands more are living in temporary shelters. hundreds of homes were damaged as floodwaters in some areas raised to waist-high levels. in japan, flooding rains of the typhoon have hit okinawa. thousands without power. strong winds pounding the area. schools and government offices are closed because of the blackouts. about 25,000 u.s. troops are stationed on the island. the coast guard is hoping to have shipping traffic moving
ones. one there were temporary problems at refineries and pipelines and that is causing production issues around the country. you might remember the large fire at the chevron refinery in northern california. aaa says the average price in that area in sacramento is $4.03 a gallon. that is compared to 3.76 a week ago. a report came out today saying it could be six months before the refinery is back into full operations. the other factor hear is the drought. you might not think about how the two connect but the drought causes corn prices to go up which causes the cost of ethanol to go up. because federal law requires a certain amount of ethanol to be used, a lot of it is blended into the price of gasoline of the as the cost of ethanol goes up it also takes the price of gasoline with it. those factors all combined why we re seeing gas prices up according to the survey. jon: diane, do you have any good news for us today? reporter: it is hard to find but there are a few bright spots in her
