On Tuesday, the state awarded $450,000 to the project as part of $24.9 million in grants to park and recreational facility projects in Illinois.City of Jerseyville JERSEYVILLE A $450,000 grant from the state will bring a major renovation of the Susnig Center in Jerseyville closer to reality. Organizers have been working for more than a year to raise the money needed to update the complex at 401 Mound St. The center’s existing gym floor will be replaced, and bleachers and restrooms will be brought into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
