from the dead, build back better, okay? senate democrats are now pushing forward with a deal to fight climate change, and lower rising health care costs. i am talking about the inflation production act. pieced together behind closed doors between west virginia senator, joe manchin, and other democrats, this legislation will lower prescription drug costs, tax corporations, and reduce the deficit. then, there is the historic 369 billion dollar investment in the fight against climate change. now, that includes encouraging americans to go green, and by expanding tax credits for electric vehicles. and that s on top of a 7500 dollar credit for new clean cars, it adds 4000 dollar credit for used electric cars, targeted at low income families. it s a lot. so, it s democrats hope to get this bill across the finish line, the lingering question tonight really is, if any of it will give them something to sell, to voters before the midterms? new nbc reporting reads, quote,
drop to just around $20,000 appearance. not to mention, thousands states not paying for gas every week. and the even cheaper level, disability would create a 4000 dollar tax credit for buying used electric vehicles. in other words, gone on the days of electric gate vehicles being a status symbol of seneca valley tycoons, this but would it take already the environmental imperative that we have to stop using fossil fuels, and simply make it the cheapest way to get around. and, these tax credits would also be a massive job creator. so this would lead to tons, and tons of while paying, good for the environment, jobs, and factories, in the u.s.. and all of what i just laid out is just part, just part of the massive 369 billion dollars overall that this new bill would put towards at energy and climate crisis. i know there are dozen things to talk about in this bill, including monday for the willfully irs, underfunded, tax laws, medicare to mitigate drug
let s say the chevy bolt, it only cost an average of 91 cents of electricity for chevy balls to go to 25 miles. literally a quarter of what s a gas car costs. and it s infinitely better for the environment. now, if the democrats knew big reconciliation bill, now called the inflation reduction act, if that bill can get passed, alexa vegas won t just be the economic imperative at the pump, but also at a dealership. if the bill passes as it is written, it would mean $7,500 of tax credits to any new electric car below 55 grand. so cars like the 28,000 nissan leave for example, it would drop to just around $20,000 appearance. not to mention, thousands states not paying for gas every week. and the even cheaper level, disability would create a 4000 dollar tax credit for buying used electric vehicles. in other words, gone on the days of electric gate vehicles being a status symbol of seneca valley tycoons, this but would
department goes for that. will donald trump himself be brought into a conspiracy charge? do they believe that they can actually charge him with a crime? but there is a lot here for them to work with. yeah, i mean that is a 364,000 dollar question. i know in other countries that can sometimes happen. the coup plotters, and they re usually charged. that s the way it usually goes. you don t try and they say don t do that again. that s pretty standard in the post coup record book but we will see if that happens here. caroline frederiksen thank you very much. thank you for having me. next up, kevin mccarthy in the hot seat. the most republican man in the house says he will not cooperate. in what they call a cover-up. they re willing to say how much
behind germany. in italy. corporations are more profitable than they ve ever been, they are paying the lowest taxes ever, thanks to trump s tax cuts. which by the way, joe manchin to his credit voted against. you think if he was against lowering the corporate tax rate before, he d be for raising it back up to where, was that s not even what s being proposed to be clear. if you think corporations the very richest people. we got this incredible reporting this year by propublica. just over the summer, that shows some cases the very richest people on, earth are literally paying no taxes. no income taxes. none. in 2011, a year in which wealth had roughly steady 18 billion dollars, amazon founder and chairman jeff bezos filed a tax return, reporting the last income. his income that year was more than offset by investment losses. what s more, because according to the tax like he made so little that he even received, a 4000 dollar tax credit for his children. well thank goodness, that tax
