Retail sales of three-wheelers in India during the first half of the current financial year increased by 65.66% compared to the previous year, reaching 5.33 lakh units, according to data from the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). This figure also exceeded retail sales in the pre-Covid period of H1FY19.
Sales of passenger vehicles in the month of June rose 2.2 per cent to 3.27 lakh units while two-wheeler sales saw an increase of 1.7 per cent at 13.30 lakh units, as per Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) data released on Wednesday.

100 Etrio flagship brand Touro three-wheelers will be operational soon
Electric vehicle start-up, Etrio, has joined hands with the two-wheeler logistics start-up, Zypp Electric to scale up the latter’s last-mile delivery with a fleet of three-wheelers. Under this association, 100 Etrio flagship brand Touro three-wheelers will be operational soon and this will be scaled up to 1,000 three-wheelers in the next six to eight months.
To start with, Zypp will deploy Etrio’s Touro Mini in Delhi NCR Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. This will further be bolstered by presence across geographies in India. Etrio will provide end-to-end service support through its dealer network along with a dedicated relationship manager for maximum uptime.
