In its latest case bulletin, the Department of Health (DOH) noted that recoveries account for 96.9 percent of the total case count which has reached 2,790,375 since the start of the pandemic last year. Meanwhile, some 3,117 new infections brought the total number of active cases nationwide to 43,185 lower than Sunday's 45,233. About 72.6 percent of these active cases are mild, 4.9 percent are asymptomatic, 3 percent are critical, 7.2 percent are severe, and 12.32 percent are moderate.
