Johnson is the prime sponsor of Senate Bill 169 which revises provisions for drones in South Dakota. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulates the use of drones in air space but it does not have criminal rules with regard to trespassing or eavesdropping for example, the state needs to do it.
