It’s not the first time the high-performance Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing twins have been up for grabs. But the initial batch of 250 units sold like hotcakes. Fret not, because if you hurry up there’s more to be had.
If the BMW M3 isn’t exactly up your alley because of the oversized grille, Cadillac is much obliged to swoop in with the CT4-V Blackwing. The compact executive sedan is finally available to configure from $58,995 for the six-speed manual or $62,170 for the automatic, making it clearly more affordable than the Bavarian competitor ($69,900 or $72,800).

Many automakers have challenged the M3 over the years, but few newcomers have actually managed to give Bavaria s sporty sedan a run for its money. Cadillac went down this route with the ATS-V a few years ago, and the GM brand is doing it again with the CT4-V Blackwing. 19 photos
Described as
“the pinnacle of Cadillac performance,” the compact executive sedan can be considered an evolution of the ATS-V over two well-founded reasons. On the one hand, we have the Alpha 2 vehicle architecture for rear- and all-wheel-drive applications. Secondly, the twin-turbo V6 with 3.6 liters of displacement bears the same codename as the engine in the ATS-V.

Available with manual transmissions, they are aimed directly at competition from Mercedes, Audi, and BMW.
Prices start at $59,990 for the CT4-V Blackwing and $84,990 for the CT5-V Blackwing.
It s a new year and it s time for some new Cadillacs. These, officially, are the 2022 CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing.
As Blackwing models, these cars are the best of what Cadillac s got to offer in terms of power and performance. With their angular and sharpened design language, as well as the availability of a manual transmission (!!!), the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing will hopefully inject some excitement back into the Cadillac brand.
