The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are out with their 120-game schedule for the 2021 season, after losing the entire 2020 campaign to the COVID-19 pandemic. Safety measures will be in place at Blue Wahoos Stadium this summer.
Starting a month later than normal, Pensacola opens on the road against the Mississippi Braves on May 4 – with the home opener a week later against the Birmingham Barons. Team President Jonathan Griffith says all series will be six games, with each Monday off.
“With the new layout it should mean less travel, but also it’s going to be great for fans,” Griffith said. “Those Monday games were always tough for us, and so now, without having the Monday games to worry about it’s going to be great.”
Boise Hawks Release 2021 Schedule
The season begins with a road game series starting Saturday, May 22nd against the Ogden Raptors. Opening Night at Memorial Stadium will take place on Wednesday, May 26th against the Grand Junction Rockies. The regular season at home will conclude on Monday, September 6th against those same Grand Junction Rockies. You can even plan to spend a summer holiday or two at the ballpark as the Hawks will be home for Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day!
Hopefully by the start of the season enough vaccines will be distributed for life to return to back to normal and fans will be able to attend the games with minimal restrictions. However, the Pioneer Baseball League schedule is subject to change at anytime due to any COVID-19 federal and state restrictions that are in place or arise.
