Not many people pay attention to the fact that Steve Biko died young at the age of just 30. He wrote his seminal works between the ages of 21 and 25, after which he could not write because he was banned, from 1973 until his death in police custody on September 12 1977. His life was a spiritual gift of remarkable proportions if we consider the miracle that this young man squeezed a political contribution of a lifetime into a small decade between 1967 and 1977.
