brian: we begin this hour with a brand new development with jeffrey document dump. steve: another one last night. another 300 documents were dumped or unsealed to the public, putting more scrutiny on former president bill clinton . ainsley: we are learning more about the hollywood stars in epstein s orbit and we expect more document to come out today. peter doocy joins us now live from the white house with the latest. hey, peter. latest accusation was bill clinton was doing some kind of crisis p.r. for jeffrey epstein. one of the epstein accusers virginia giuffre was writing a book and in it she claimed about bill clinton he walked into vanity fair and threatened them not to write sex trafficking articles about his good friend jeffrey epstein. those are disputed in the pages of the telegraph quote there is no evidence to support the claims and strenuously denied by a representative vanity fair s long time former editor who told the telegraph this categorically did not
website. special counsel jack smith facing criticism as we learned prosecutor on his team discouraged the fbi from investigating the clinton foundation during the obama era. we are talking about 2016. brooke singman broke this story and has more. brook? that s right. a top prosecutor and special counsel jack smith s team actually discouraged the fbi from investigating the clinton foundation back in 2016. so this is ray hole zero we are talking about who at the time was the chief of the justice department public integrity section. he declined prosecution of the clinton foundation. that information was buried and former special counsel john durham s report. you will remember john durham was investigating why trump-russia probe was ever opened. so durham found that back in early 2016 three fbi field offices that was washington, new york you, and little rock all had already opened investigations into the clinton foundation but during a meeting at the justice department in
white house changed its story multiple times over that meeting that occurred in june of 2016. brooke, we should note, this is not a blind fishing expedition. robert mueller is a very, very well known investigator. a lot of these events anyway are not something that s being pulled out of thin air. these are all events that we ve heard of. ty cobb is quoted in the times story. he is donald trump s lawyer, brooke, saying they will turn over many of the documents this week. we ll have more on this story throughout the evening. so let me just go back. so you highlighted that the events that we ve all been covering, but it s 13 different areas where mueller s office wants documents. een you said, as critics have said, this is a fishing expedition. you re saying no. right. what does this tell you big picture about the scope of this investigation and just how aggressive mueller is being? right. one of the things that you often here discussing these investigations that it s a fishing
