The value of the Indian rupee has depreciated by around 25 per cent against the US dollar since December 2014 and the recent fall is due to global factors like soaring crude oil prices and the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Monday.
Union Power Minister, RK Singh on Tuesday, said that the nation is now power surplus in comparison to what it was in 2014, adding that the country can transfer 1.12 lakh Megawatt (MW) of power from one corner of the country to another.
