The day when the country marks the 37th anniversary of when Filipinos toppled the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos Sr. is just a regular working day, Malacañang said, as his son and namesake has moved the holiday in commemoration of this historic event due to “holiday economics.”
The country is celebrating the 37th anniversary of the revolution that ended the years-long martial law period under former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr., which activists describe as “one of the darkest periods” in the country’s history, on Saturday, February 25.
