The jet black 1934 V-8 Ford that depression-era desperado John Dillinger stole in his famous jail escape 87 years ago cruised back to the Sheriff’s House on Saturday afternoon. It arrived with a motorcade, directed by Lake County Sheriff Oscar Martinez Jr., of county police cars, motorcycle and two county police helicopters. On Saturday morning, spectators and officials were able to get an up close look at the Dillinger escape vehicle before it made its way back to Crown Point s downtown square.
