they have $15 billion of unspent covid money. we have appropriated $190 billion to schools, of which 20% has been spent out of $190 billion. so maybe what we ought to do is find lewis douglas and say if we have needs that need to be met, let s go about finding them by taking unspent monies and applying them to the problem. after all, we have debt. martha: every normal person said where did the money go? does anyone keep track? we dispersed it to the states. then what? you don t put more money after that money when you don t know where the first billions went when you allocated it to the states. it s unheard of. absolutely. the state of texas has $16 billion for the federal government. we were running a budget surplus before we got the money. so some of this money was ill-spent. a lot of it is unspent. we can t afford more.
