we have an update for a story we brought you on friday. it s the last remaining original portrait of wild west outlaw billy the kid. it was being auctioned off over the weekend, so we talked to the head of the auction house on friday, and he told us, hey, we ll probably start the bidding around $400,000. the top estimate that we saw in print was that it would sell for about a million. jon: beat that? jenna: not the case. $2.3 million for this photograph. it was believed to be taken outside a saloon at fort sumner, new mexico, around 1879, 1880. so unbelievable, but, jon, on friday when we actually saw the photo in the person, the photo is like this big. it s like a little, tiny type. and, apparently, it lasted through the years with one family. jon: most famous photo of the american west. jenna: 2.3 million! who bought that? jon: who says the economy s in trouble?
