drinking season for those who have just gotten out of school and their parents. so it is a fun time. we should be having fun on this weekend. but what they asked everyone to do is to pause at 3:00 this afternoon and take a moment to reflect on those who have given us our freedom and defended the constitution since 1783. it is has been a fascinating trip . if you look at all those who have given their life, made the ultimate sacrifice in america s various wars when they have been called and asked to serve, it is appropriate that we actually spend a little bit of time to do that. the reason i do it every day, truthfully, i have a box on my desk, which i talked about on cnn before, that has 253 cards in it, with pictures of soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines i served with. one allied soldier as well. who gave the sacrifice in iraq under my commander, the command of the first armored division. and i just take one of those
it was the space where the original capitalization of the united states economy occurred. the former gadsden s wharf. somewhere around 100,000 africans were brought here between 1783 and 1808 and sold directly into slavery. in 2014, an archeological dig found remnants of the wharf where the ships arrived. originally built in 1767, the wharf could hold up to six ships at a time, and those ships held upwards of 600 africans apiece. and then if you just kind of look out, you can see fort sum ter in the distance. fort sumpter is where the civil war began. that likely could have been a slave ship. the ships would come in and land here. this is the largest wharf in the colonies. you can still see boats coming in along the same path that the 800-plus slave ships took in
add. tucker: why do you think they wanted to talk to you? my publisher thinks that they read my book on the plot to destroy the president, which is in fact about the conspiracy the first in american history since 1783 and the newburgh conspiracy that tried to overthrow a sitting president of the united states. tucker: why did they ask you about roger stone? i have no idea. i ve met roger stone three time times. he did write the forward to my new book because we had the same publisher. he gave an address at oxford university about eight or ten weeks ago and it was a pretty compelling story about what happened in the 2016 election and we had it transcribed. i had attended that lecture, and we used it as the forward to the book. maybe they read more into that then is the case. tucker: what did they do to your phone?
