Robert DuBoise, who was 18 when the crime occurred, was initially sentenced to death for the killing of 19-year-old Barbara Grams as she walked home from her job at a Tampa restaurant.
A Tampa man, 59-year-old Robert DuBoise, is set to receive $14 million as a settlement for a wrongful conviction of the rape and murder of 19-year-old Barbara Grams in 1983 that led him to spend 37 years in jail.
