INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - The NCAA Division I Board of Directors ratified a rule change that will allow all athletes who have not yet transferred the ability to do so one time in a college career and be immediately eligible to play.

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (WFIE) - Senior forward/midfielder Taylor McCormick (Rapid City, South Dakota) scored on a header in the 96th minute as University of Southern Indiana Women’s Soccer earned a 1-0 overtime victory over the University of Indianapolis in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament Friday evening.
McCormick, who was about three yards in front of the goal, converted a beautiful pass from junior forward Katlyn Andres (Louisville, Kentucky) into a header, that caught UIndy goalkeeper Sophia Saucerman off guard.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - On Friday night, the University of Southern Indiana women’s soccer team will take the pitch to defend the program’s GLVC title from 2019 against the University of Indianapolis.
The Screaming Eagles (11-3-1) punched their ticket to St. Charles, Missouri after an aggressive offensive outing against Rockhurst in the quarterfinals. USI defeated the Hawks, 3-1, to advance to the semifinals.
”We just knew going into it that we could do it, we had all the energy, the fanbase was awesome, so we were very energized and ready to go,” USI senior defender Madelyne Juenger said. “We’ve always had great team chemistry, we bound on and off the field so that’s definitely been huge for us. It’s been a tough year, we’ve overcame a lot of stuff this year, so just staying connected

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - University of Southern Indiana Baseball rallied in the ninth, but fell short of Lewis University, 8-5, Friday evening at the USI Baseball Field. The Screaming Eagles go to 16-13 overall and 12-9 GLVC, while the Flyers end the evening 15-10, 13-8 GLVC.

OMAHA, Neb. (WFIE) - Two local Tri-State hockey teams are competing on the biggest stage that high school hockey has to offer.
The
Owensboro Rampage both made history for their respective programs as the first teams to ever compete at the USA Hockey High School National Championship Tournament. Each team kicked off pool play in their respective brackets on Thursday afternoon.
It was an incredible showing for the Thunder in their opening round game, as Evansville took down Flower Mound, the Texas State Champions, in a 4-3 victory. This win is the first in program history at USA Hockey Nationals.
