Kochi, Feb 13 (PTI) Four persons were arrested and remanded to judicial custody and more arrests are expected in the coming days in connection with the massive blast that claimed two lives and injured around 15, at an illegal firecrackers warehouse operating from a residential area at Tripunithura near here a day ago, police said on Tuesday.

4 people arrested as drug den dismantled in Sulu; P170,000 worth of illegal drugs seized in anti-drug operation In an anti-drug operation in Sulu, authorities have arrested four individuals and successfully dismantled a drug den. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) reported that the arrested suspects, identified as Al Naber Jadjuli, Utal Abdulla, Apalal Padjiri, and Rashier Bakil, were apprehended in Latih village, Patikul, Sulu on Wednesday, November 15, at around 3:30 p.m. However, Al Amin Jul-Ambri, a cohort of the four suspects, managed to escape arrest. The seized items from the operation include 25 grams of suspected shabu worth P170,000, two rifles with magazines and ammunition, buy-bust money, assorted illegal drug paraphernalia, and identification cards. The arrested suspects are currently detained, and charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against their at-large cohort.
