the people live, 30% of the people. in montgomery county, oz is running third. in chester county, second. and they re splitting the vote in a lot of places and mccormick who in this race you would call the more mainstream republican, 31.7 to 31.2. down to 5,100 now, excuse me. the vote is not over but it does appear if this were to hold, it s possible that barnette is the one who prevented oz from passing dave mccormick because mccormick and oz were in a real dog fight and then barnette had her surge. it s possible she took some of the trump votes away from oz. i m just hypothesizing here.
it s a mix of those things. getting back to the other issues and you look at these rural counties and john king is saying mccormick s doing better than expected. he s getting 30, 32, 33% of that vote. and kathy barnette is taking some of that trump vote away from the oz counting. do you think the fact that mccormick was attacking oz and saying he wasn t conservative enough might on issues like apportion, on guns, on it s not 31.2%. one things we haven t talked about tonight about oz is the people and i guess this is mccormick, too, but people don t
nominee? interesting. you said we re going to get to north carolina. we re going to do that. but we ve got to get back to john avlon first because john, things just tightened up even more in the pennsylvania senate race. what do you have for us? mehmet oz was just around 700 votes up. now that shrunk 200. it shows just how much this is a game of inches. every ballot counting. and with 91% who knows which way this is going to go. but oz has had the big mo, pulling back a little bit. mccormick still very much i mean, look, they are tied. 31.2 to 31.2. so the reason oz jumped ahead just a little bit, seems to be a lot of ballots in bucks county. and that seems to be it s where his headquarters is and where his wife s family is from. so him getting the edge there made the difference. but every vote is counting right now and this is just a stunning race to watch. is now 502 ahead. in the last minutes changing from 700 to 500. i think this just made our night a little bit longer. b
is on top to figure out how many military and provisional ballots, how long will this take? you look at this and, again, to be clear trump endorsed dr. oz. what do the primaries in pennsylvania and elsewhere, other crucial states, you know, idaho, oregon, kentucky, north carolina tell you about how successful trump s endorsements have been? let s be clear at the outset, we re still early in this primary season. but we do have a trend so far. we ll see what happens as we move on through the primaries. but dr. oz is donald trump s candidate in the commonwealth of pennsylvania. he get s 31.2%. in ohio, j.d. vance was donald trump s candidate. 3 %. right about the same what oz got. there s some governor s races. let s look at the republican side. nebraska, we went through that primary a tuesday ago. trump s candidate was at 30%, roughly 30%. last night, out in idaho, jump
170 people are known to have died, most of them in west germany. stay with us on bbc news, much more coming up. hello there. saturday saw the warmest weather of the year so far in all four nations of the uk. and in northern ireland, whereas you can see it was beach weather in county down, temperatures actually broke the all time record. the highest temperature since records began in northern ireland, ballywatticock 31.2 degrees. but in england, in wales and in scotland, we saw some pretty hot temperatures. however, the far north of scotland was much, much cooler, just 13 degrees for parts of shetland, whereas you can see we had a lot of cloud. you can pick that out on the satellite picture through saturday afternoon. and that cloud has been pushing a little further south westwards, so starting off sunday morning, rather cloudy and murky for parts of northern ireland. quite a lot of cloud for scotland, too, with some patchy rain in the far north.
