Sarla Thakral was India’s first ever woman to take to the skies. She got an ‘A’ grade license after 1,000 hours of flying, making history as she was the first one to do so. She was just 21 when she got her aviation license and in the same year she flew the Gypsy Moth (an aeroplane named after the insect). She goes down in our history as a badass woman who chased her ambitions, was obsessed with the high skies and would let nothing coming in the way of her journey.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (KABC) - An Air Force veteran in California celebrated his 107th birthday with cake, a motorcycle ride and a military honor guard tribute.
Hundreds gathered Saturday in Riverside, California to celebrate the 107th birthday of retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Harry Goldsworthy, whoâs believed to be the nationâs oldest living general.
Goldsworthy got the party going in style by arriving on a motorcycle driven by a member of the Southern California Patriot Guard Riders.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla (WTXL) â Many gathered far and wide to celebrate the 107th birthday of Ms. Mattie Mobley.
In honor of her birthday, Centre Pointe Health and Rehabilitation set up a birthday drive-by, to give friends and family an opportunity to celebrate her happy 107th.
Activity Director, Whitney Bolden said it was very important to make the day special. This year, I was like we got to go big because she s expecting something big, said Bolden. Everyone inside the building is wearing red for her birthday because it s her favorite color. It s a celebration all over. Everyone here knows who she is. She makes it a point for everyone to know who she is. For her to live this long, and through this pandemic, especially for her to see 107 is just a blessing.
