The National Weather Service in Charleston, West Virginia has put a Winter Storm Warning in effect for portions of southeast Ohio and 19 counties in central, northern, southeast and southern West Virginia, including Kanawha County. The warning begins at 7 p.m. Thursday night and continues through 10 a.m. Saturday. Up to 6 inches of new snow could fall in the Kanawha Valley by Saturday morning.
