Labhost enabled scammers without Technical Skills to set up fake websites designed to trick victims into revealing personal information such as email addresses, passwords and bank details. As many as 70,000 people in the uk were tricked by the scam, which allowed the scammers to steal 480,000 card numbers and 64,000 pin codes. Detectives estimate that the labhost site made nearly £1 million in profits.
