The Stand Up Stand Out Showcase is your chance to catch the newest music and dance talent from local secondary schools – along with some of Auckland s top DJs spinning hip hop, RnB and the best summer beats.
Grant Apiata, aka DJ Grantis, is one of the founding members of the Māori HiFi artist collective. You can find him every week on his Base FM radio show, Afternoon Delight.
This event is all about supporting emerging stars and chilling with great tunes, be there!
Barkin Sertkaya - guitar
Ben Hoadley and Barkin Sertkaya both teach at the University of Auckland School of Music, and have a wealth of performing experience between then, regularly delighting audiences throughout New Zealand and internationally.
They look forward to sharing the warm sounds of bassoon and classical guitar in their enchanting programme of music ranging from Renaissance improvisation to Brazilian modinha, with a new composition by Ben Hoadley that Barkin recently premiered at the NZ Classical Guitar Festival in Wellington.

Join Seafog and noisy poprock upstarts, School Friend, for a Sunday afternoon gig in the convivial surroundings of the Arc Brewery Co on 7 March, 2021.
Seafog are looking forward to exploring some new tunes they’ve been wrangling lately along with a few of their favs from their albums. School Friend are playing like teens possessed - they re an exciting, fun unit revelling in the commotion they make. School Friend will be playing at 3pm for around 30 minutes and Seafog will follow soon after.
Along with the delicious refreshments available at the Arc Brewing Co, Mikey’s Kai Truck will be there to fill your bellies.

Get up on stage and show the world of our audience you re a star! All kids are welcome to sign up for an 8 minute shot at fame and fortune - or at least become a Folk Club favourite. Sign up begins at 5:45pm and will be first come, first served.
Whether you want to sing, dance, play an instrument, or all of the above, you can do it in a stress-free, non-judgmental environment. Come be the star of the show!

Australian based Kiwi rocker Jon Stevens, with his Noiseworks and INXS collection, can t wait to perform all the huge hits at the renowned Black Barn Amphitheatre on Sunday 7 March. The former frontman of these bands will rock out chart-toppers such as Devil Inside, Suicide Blonde, Need you Tonight and Original Sin from INXS and Hot Chilli Women, Take me Back and No Lies from Noiseworks. Every song on the setlist is a smash radio hit and guaranteed to have you on your feet from the outset.
