(File photo) MANILA - The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday logged 310 more coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases, bringing the nation's overall tally to 2,838,032. This brought the total number of active infections to 9,321 on Christmas Eve. In its Covid-19 bulletin, the DOH said 227 new recoveries pushed the total recovery count to 2,777,661. Of the active cases, 3,295 are mild, 474 are asymptomatic, 375 are critical, 1,795 are severe, and 3,382 are moderate. "Of the 310 reported cases today, 272 or 88 percent occurred within the recent 14 days - December 11 to 24, 2021," the DOH said. It added that the top regions with most cases in the recent two weeks were the National Capital Region with 106 or 39 percent, Calabarzon with 32 or 12 percent, and Region 3 with 22 or 8 percent of the country's new cases.
