of the house. i think they want to see us wait and make sure that we have republicans in charge of the house before we pass an omnibus bill like this. i think republican voters especially are distressed to see this being pushed through and hearing some of the things that are in it, especially not funding security for the border and other expenses that seem crazy. you re right. it should be split up. why is it being pushed at the last minute without the american people getting a good look. they just voted for change. let the change happen. martha: there s an element in this with border security that says none of the money in this enormous almost $2 trillion billion can be spent on technology to secure the border is. that right? that s what i ve heard. i haven t read the bill. pretty much every senator and house member, right? it s 4,000 pages and being pushed in the dead of night. a lot of americans don t have faith in the biden administration for good reason.
reporter: but the makeup of the investigating committee has already become a part i san issue. weshould be candid about the fact that it st politically to the advantage of democrats to try to keep this issue in the forefront. reporter: today speaker of the house nancy pelosi appointed a second republican, illinois adam kinzinger after refusing two of the five gop members put forward by minority leader kevin mccarthy. maybe the republicans can t handle the truth. but we have a responsibility to seek it. reporter: the rejected members, jim jordan and jim banks, voted against certifying the 2020 election results. she doesn t want us to ask these questions because at the end of the day, she is ultimately responsible for the preakdown of security at the breakdown of security at the capitol. then there is a stalled bipartisan effort on, what else, infrastructure. we re optimistic. stay tuned. we re down to the last couple of items. democrats want more of the democrats
