City Hall of Zamboanga(PNA file photo) ZAMBOANGA CITY - The recovery rate from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) here now stands at 95.44 percent with 27,418 individuals having recovered from the infection since the pandemic started two years ago, according to the City Health Office (CHO). The CHO, however, stressed that confirmed cases continue to increase with cumulative cases now at 28,726, in which 106 are active infections with 1,202 deaths. The CHO data showed that 100 percent of the active cases were acquired through community transmission. The health status of active cases are as follows: asymptomatic, 68.5 percent; mild symptoms, 27.9 percent; moderate, 2.7 percent; severe, 0.3 percent; and critical, 0.6 percent. The local health office said that 1,192 of the 1,202 registered deaths are from the community, four persons deprived of liberty (PDL), three detainees, while the rest are either authorized persons outside residence (APOR), locally stranded individuals (LSIs), or

In a report Tuesday, the agency said the other active cases include 33 percent with mild symptoms, 3.7 percent severe, and 0.3 percent critical. Also, the DOH-13 said active Covid-19 cases in the region are down to 59 with seven new cases reported on Monday. "The remaining 59 active cases in Caraga Region represents 0.1 percent of the 49,220 total Covid-19 cases recorded in the region since the pandemic started in March last year," the DOH-13 said. As of Tuesday, the total number of recoveries in the region was recorded at 47,263, or 96 percent of the total cases. BUTUAN CITY - Three of five provinces and four of six cities in the Caraga Region registered zero coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections as of December 11. Based on the report presented by the Department of Health (DOH) 13 (Caraga) on Sunday, Surigao del Norte, Agusan del Norte, and Dinagat Islands, and the cities of Tandag, Bislig, Surigao and Bayugan had no new cases on Saturday. Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur had eight and one new infections, respectively; Butuan City had two; and Cabadbaran tallied one. To date, the region still has 205 active cases out of the total 49,140 confirmed infections. Twenty-nine new recoveries raised the total to 47,044 while one casualty padded the death count to 1,891. "Most of the remaining active cases in the region or 62.9 percent are classified as asymptomatic, 33 percent are mild, 3.7 percent severe, and 0.3 percent critical," DOH-13 said. (PNA) }
