New York (VNA) - Vietnam successfully fulfilled its commitments and responsibilities
in the UN Security Council (UNSC) during the first year of its two-year term as
a non-permanent member, Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese mission to the UN, has said.
In a recent interview with Vietnam News Agency’s correspondent in New
York, Quy affirmed that Vietnam has made every effort to optimise the interests
of the country at the global forum, protecting its
security interests and development
and improving its position and prestige.

Hanoi (VNA) - The
national teleconference on December 21 to review the sector’s performance in
2020 and the 2016-2020 tenure and set tasks for next year.
It reported that, over the last five years, courts nationwide have handled more
than 2.3 million cases, equivalent to 97.6 percent of the total received, with
improved quality.
The rate of verdicts and judgements cancelled or amended every year is
less than 1.5 percent, meeting the target set by the
National Assembly. Courts
have also tried a large number of serious and complex economic and corruption
cases that attracted public attention, the SPC noted.
