The teens, 16-year-old twin boys, were in front of their home in the 1900 block of Pheasant Drive about 1:30 a.m. when three suspects approached, according to a release from Hercules police. All three suspects reportedly carried handguns and were wearing black clothing and black ski masks, police said. The suspects demanded the twins property and took a necklace and wallet. As they fled, the suspects fired at the teens, hitting one of the brothers in his right upper arm and back. He is in serious but stable condition, police said Monday.

Officers responded to the home in the 1900 block of Phaesant Drive at about 1:30 a.m. on a report of a shooting and contacted two victims: one who was not injured and another age 16, who was suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body and arm, police said. The victim was transported to a local trauma center. On Monday, he was reported to be in serious but stable condition, police said. The victim who wasn’t injured told police they were in front of their house when they were robbed at gunpoint by three males they did not know who were wearing black clothing, ski-masks and were all armed with handguns.

On Friday “an officer was flagged down by Home Depot loss prevention,” the news outlet said. An officer located a suspected vehicle, a 2006 Ford Econoline Van, backed into a parking stall at 1500 Sycamore Ave., across from the Home Depot, police said.
