A pet-loving family now occupies the White House and they are expected to add a feline friend into the mix very soon!
On Monday (January 25), the White House shared new photos of President Joe Biden’s two rescue German shepherds, Major and Champ, making themselves comfortable in their new home at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The first lady s office said in a statement that Champ is enjoying his new dog bed by the fireplace and Major loved running around on the South Lawn.
But as the presidential pooches get used to their new digs, the first family of the United States is reportedly preparing to add a First Cat to the crew.
K-pop fans have hilariously flooded the #ImpeachBidenNow hashtag that Donald Trump supporters have been trying to get trending on Twitter.
On Friday (January 22), K-pop fans took over a nonsensical hashtag that called for newly elected President Joe Biden s impeachment. The wacky hashtag follows Trump s recent impeachment, which made him the first United States President to ever be impeached twice.
The #ImpeachBidenNow hashtag was sparked on Thursday (January 21), after Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted that she filed articles of impeachment against Biden, for some reason. We ll see how this goes, she said in a video posted to her social media accounts.
Senator Chuck Schumer had an accidental Freudian slip when speaking about former President Donald Trump.
On Friday (January 22), Sen. Schumer spoke on the Senate floor regarding Trump s impending impeachment trial. Schumer asked his fellow leaders to set a trial date for Trump for inciting the Capitol riot, which resulted in five deaths and left the rest of the nation reeling.
While speaking on the floor, however, the Senate majority leader accidentally called the insurrection an erection. Make no mistake, there will be a trial and when that trial ends, senators will have to decide if they believe Donald John Trump incited the erection, Schumer said, before quickly correcting himself. Insurrection against the United States, he continued, shaking his head at the flub.
It s not the amount that local officials were hoping for, but Oneida County Health received 500 new doses of the COVID-19 vaccine on Wednesday.
County health officials will again begin booking appointments this evening (at ocgov.net) and administering those doses tomorrow at the Griffiss Airport location and at the MVCC Utica campus. Officials say once those 500 appointments are booked, they will again be out and won t book any new appointments until the state delivers more. Oneida County got some good news on Wednesday, as
New York State delivered another 500 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to the county health department. However, the hope the vaccine brings for the future was again overshadowed by the reality local residents face right now: The county lost 5 more residents to the virus on Tuesday (reflected in Wednesday s report), and the active case total in the county increased again, once again setting a new record.
The five deaths reported pushed the county s death toll to over 300 since March, now at 303. It was also the 56th consecutive day at least one resident has died from the virus. There 166 new confirmed cases included in Wednesday s update, sending the active case total to 7,175, as the county continued a trend of surpassing its own record in that category virtually on a daily basis.
