Weekly clinics for members of the public expected to be the norm Written By: Marcus Traxler | ×
Avera Health is diving into more vaccination clinics this weekend in Mitchell, with the goal of vaccinating some of the most susceptible members of the community.
It comes as South Dakota expects a small bump in its doses arriving in the state and works to vaccinate Group 1D, which includes individuals age 75 and older, people receiving transplant care, battling cancer or who need dialysis.
Avera Queen of Peace’s Eric Larson, the director of pharmacy at the hospital who is leading the vaccination clinic efforts, commended the community’s efforts so far and urged patience as the health system continues to vaccinate locals.
