Buffalo Trace Continues Its Barrel Aging Warehouses Build Out
Buffalo Trace, in an ongoing $1.2 billion infrastructure investment at its historic distillery campus in Kentucky, has been at work over the last few years on various projects. One of these is the addition of new barrel warehouses, each capable of holding 58,000 barrels. To date ten of these have been built and now, including existing older warehouses, offer an on-site barrel inventory of over one million aging whiskey barrels.
The brand provided recently an update on how the barrel warehouse build out is going. It noted that “starting in the spring of 2018, Buffalo Trace began filling its first new warehouse located on the adjacent 292-acre farm purchased several years ago.
