Councillors in Derry today held a minute s silence in memory of 10 people killed in the Ballymurphy area of Belfast as an inquest found that they were entirely innocent .
The inquest, which began in November 2018, examined the deaths in August 1971.
The shootings happened after an operation in which a number of people were detained without trial.
The victims included a priest trying to help the wounded and a mother of eight.
Nine of the victims were killed by the Army, the coroner said.

SDLP MLA Mark H Durkan has written to Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey urging her to reinstate £30,000 of funding promised to facilitate improved access at Strathfoyle playpark.
Mr Durkan described the news last night that the funding had been withdrawn as a bombshell .
The news emerged during a meeting of Derry City and Strabane District Council s Business and Culture committee.
Mr Durkan said: “Reports from yesterday s council meeting that funding was withdrawn by the Department for Communities for Strathfoyle playpark came as a blow to all those young people who have led the campaign, supported by all parties and the community, to have accessible play equipment installed.

DUP Alderman David Ramsey hit out at the parties during a meeting of Derry City and Strabane District Council s Business and Culture Committee.
Representatives of Invest NI spoke at the online meeting on Tuesday about their efforts to promote the local council area to potential investors.
However, the performance of Invest NI was criticised by a number of councillors at the meeting.
