A man pleaded guilty this week to four felony charges for his part in a 2017 crash that killed an Albuquerque woman and her 14-year-old daughter in a foothills neighborhood.
Paul Anthony Garcia, 28, pleaded guilty to two counts of motor vehicle theft and two counts of conspiracy on condition that he testify next month at the first-degree murder trial of a woman who allegedly drove a stolen van involved in the crash.
Shauna Arredondo-Boling, 39, left, and her daughter, Shaylee Boling, 14, were killed in a crash on Jan. 18, 2017.
Garcia was a passenger in the van when it plowed into a car, fatally injuring Shaunna Arredondo-Boling, 39, her daughter, Shaylee Boling, 14, and injuring her 3-year-old son.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The man at the center of a crash that killed a mother and daughter in 2017 changed his plea to guilty Tuesday.
Paul Garcia pleaded guilty to four charges – four years after the deadly crash that killed Shaunna Arrendondo-Boling and her 14-year-old daughter Shaylee Boling.
The charges Garcia pled guilty to include two charges of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, one charge of conspiracy to take a motor vehicle, and leaving the scene of the crash.
Garcia will serve up to 10 years in prison with four years probation, and he will testify against Elexus Groves.
