National Chairman, Congress of Democrats (CD), a pressure group within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Bola Ajimuda, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to reconsider revisiting the recommendations of the National Constitutional Conference enpanelled by former President Goodluck Jonathan, in 2014.
Ajimuda, in an interview with THISDAY in Abeokuta, Ogun State, lamented the rising wave of criminalities and the continued restiveness of ethnic nationalities, attributing them to âthe poor foundations of our federal compositionâ.
The CD chairman, who is a banker and development finance expert, and also a former Senior Special Adviser to Ondoâs Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Oil and Gas Matters, said, âNo patch-work can any longer save Nigeria, except we face the reality of assuaging the feelings of disgruntled ethnic nationalities.â

THE security situation in the country worsened, yesterday, as Osun Police command confirmed the abduction of two Chinese expatriates, Zhao Juan, 33, and one Wen, 50 at a mining site in the state.
Similarly, a family of five in Ondo State was also kidnapped at Ajowa-Akoko area of the state during the Easter holiday as their abductors demanded N10 million as ransom for their release.

The Secretary-General of the Yoruba Council of Elders, Dr Kunle Olajide has described the communique of the last Saturday’s Obasanjo, Gumi meeting in Abeokuta as inadequate, saying it failed to thoroughly address some of the fundamental issues currently pummeling the nation.
The popular Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Abubakar Gumi had met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his hilltop mansion in Abeokuta some day’s ago over the intractable security challenges facing the nation.
