In a heartbreaking exchange shared on social media Monday, a restaurant owner in Southern California confronted government health officials who reportedly issued him a citation for staying open after being given a closure order.

VENTURA, Calif. A downtown Ventura restaurant is getting national attention. On Tuesday. Ivanka Trump tweeted about ‘Nick The Greek’.
Outdoor dining is banned under the regional stay-at-home order, but restaurant owners are pushing back.
Last week we introduced you to Anton Van Happen, who owns Nick The Greek in Downtown Ventura. He started a movement aimed at protesting restaurant restrictions.
“I spoke to the Health Department before I did that and he gave me his word that was fine because you are allowed to protest,” said Van Happen. “I continued to serve all my food to go, and it was everyone s own prerogative to go sit on the tables.”

A Ventura, California restaurant owner is being compared to a mafia-style ‘hitman’ for allegedly violating the city’s Coronavirus restrictions by opening his business.
“Are you going to pay my rent?”Anton Van Happen, the owner of Nick the Greek Souvlaki and Gyro House, says to city health inspectors in footage later shared by a reporter for The Daily Caller.
“I followed the rules, I continue to follow the rules and you guys still time after time are giving me citations, telling me I have to close my business! What about my employees?” Van Happen says in the video.
