Let s not forget Jordan Peterson s role in firing up Canada s far-right

A guru for toxic masculinity Let’s not forget that the Three Percenters are here in Canada and that the Proud Boys is a Canadian creation. Let’s also not forget that a guru for many of the people involved in the far-right is our very own Jordan Peterson. Although he would be quick to distance himself from these elements, he has repeatedly encouraged the rabid toxic masculinity that underlies many of these movements. The Proud Boys could easily use Peterson’s “12 Rules” as a Bible since it’s so close to their own views. Denis Robert – Religious right sacrificed Christian beliefs for Trump

Letters to the Editor, Jan 29

Article content TRUDEAU OBSESSED WITH CHINA Re “PM lets Pfizer screw us” (Brian Lilley, Jan. 25): Although I most often agree with Lilley, I feel that he missed the mark on this column. Pfizer may have treated us unfairly or treated those that ordered sooner more fairly. How does ordering late put you equal to those who ordered early for a scarce, life-saving vaccine in demand worldwide? Ever heard of first come first served! Privatization put an end to Canada s vaccine industry

NOW Magazine Privatization put an end to Canada’s vaccine industry Plus, filling the gaps in COVID data, Funny Boy bias and a better choice for the province s vaccine task force in reader mail this week By NOW news Collapse of Canada’s vaccine industry was a bipartisan project Re Canada’s COVID Balancing Act Reaching The Tipping Point (NOW Online, November 30). “Canada’s capacity to develop vaccines is precisely at zero. Part of that has to do with the fact the Conservative government of Stephen Harper cut grants to research councils.” And a lot has to do with the Tory government of Brian Mulroney selling off Connaught Labs –  plus refocusing Connaught for profit-making in the previous decade by a Liberal government. Privatization is a bipartisan project.
