Albanian food is very similar to Greek food, said Tahiraj who goes by the nickname Eri. We have a lot of the same dishes, but sometimes with different names. For example, we both have spinach pie, which in Greece is called spanakopita. In Albania, we call it burek.
Filo Greek is at 1665 Dunlawton Ave. in the Shoppes at Yorktowne. The restaurant space was previously home to Daily Grind Burgers which closed last summer.
Owner grew up in restaurant business
Tahiraj s family moved to the United States when Eri was 2 years old. They settled in Columbus, Ohio, where his parents, Demir and Zamira ( Mira ), got jobs as kitchen workers at a restaurant.
